Ferry from Belfast to Stranraer
Stena Line Operate the route from Belfast to Stranraer five times a day and the trip takes only two hours. This short trip makes it an ideal way to get to Scotland and the UK from Northern Ireland and is a good alternative to flying for those of you (like me) who just don’t like it.
If you are interested in visiting just Stranraer then there are sites you should see like the Castle of St John which is very near to the harbour and there is lots to do here, nearly are the areas of Portpatrick and Cairnryan where there are many other tourist attractions.
If it is an onward journey that you have in mind then Stranraer is only 85 miles from Glasgow, 105 from Carlisle or 131 from Edinburgh.
