Ferry from Aberdeen to Kirkwall
This route is operated by Northlink ferries and there are 4 crossings per week, each lasting 6 hours. There are sleeper seats available onboard for those who would prefer this.
Kirkwall is the capital of the Orkney Islands situated off the coast of Scotland. The largest of Orkney’s towns, Kirkwall has a population of 8,500. Kirkwall has its own airport providing links to Edinburgh Glasgow and Inverness. Between May and August a twice weekly service also runs to Bergen, Norway. This makes Kirkwall a gateway to the rest of Scotland and beyond. Points of interest for visitors may include the Orkney museum and the St Magnus cathedral not to mention the fabulous view on this stunning unspoilt island.
