Ferry from Cherbourg to Portsmouth

This route is operatated by both Brittany Ferries and Condor Ferries.  Brittany Ferries run their three hour crossing every day from April to November, twice a day in high season and once a day in October and November.     Where as Condor Ferries run from May to August each Sunday and the crossing takes 5 hours.  

If you are travelling from France to stay in Portsmouth, it is a thriving port with an eclectic mix of bars restaurants and shops along the harbour promenade.  Portsmouth also has excellent transport links to the rest of the UK and London is less than an hour and a half by train.   This is an great place to start your holiday in the UK, if you want to see the busy cities or the countryside.
