Ferry from Ceuta to Algeciras

Departing from Ceuta on the North African side of Gibraltar, Balearia offer six daily crossings taking approximately 30 minutes while Trasmediterranea offer 11 daily crossings taking around 45 minutes.

Algeciras is the largest and busiest port in Spain and is situated in the Cadiz province. It offers various services for passengers including restaurants, bureau de change, car rental, toilets and shops. There are bus and taxi links next to the port into the city itself.  Primarily an industrial city, it mainly operates as a connection between Spain and either Morocco or the Canary Islands with most tourists passing through on their way to these final destinations. There are frequent, daily ferry connections from Algeciras to Tangier. The city itself, while maybe not a typical tourist spot, is rich in Arabic influence with many traditional Moroccan teashops and restaurants around the city, a number of which have stunning views of the Rock Of Gibraltar. It is also host to various carnivals and festivals throughout the years and boasts a unique train service to the village of Ronda, taking in the picturesque villages of the Andalucia region. The train journey is said to be one the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.
